Horseback Rides

We offer kid's horse rides, hourly, half day, and full day rides (age limits vary per ride, weight limits are set due to safety of horse and rider based on the terrain and rigid conditions of the trail). Lunch is provided for all half day and full day rides with an option of either a sack lunch or a gourmet picnic lunch. All rides leave from our primary location in Boulder. There is a required 50% non refundable deposit for all day trips. We cater to custom length requests, give us a call with any inquiries or to book at (307) 537-5400 or email us at info@boulder-lake-lodge.com.

1 - 2 Hour Ride

$75/rider for the 1 Hour Ride
$100/rider for the 2 Hour Ride
Minimum age limit of 8 yrs old - Maximum weight limit of 270lbs

Our hourly ride leaves from our back door and leads into the Bridger Teton National Forest. We cross over the white waters of Boulder Creek via bridge and continue to follow the creek as we slightly climb in elevation. On a 1 hour adventure we will come to an open lush meadow where we stop for a quick picture break before heading back. On a 2 hour adventure, we will come to a stopping point across from a beautiful lily-pad filled beaver pond before turning back.

Half Day Ride

$150/rider
$10/person for Sack Lunch - $25/person for Gourmet Lunch
Minimum age limit of 8 yrs old - Maximum weight limit of 270lbs

We have two destinations for our half day ride, depending on what kind of experience our riders are looking for as well as the condition of our trails during the spring run-off. Our ride starts by crossing Boulder Creek via bridge and continues to take us deeper into Bridger Teton National Forest. Our first option for a picnic destination is a sandy beach right next to a swimming hole in Boulder Creek. Our second option for a picnic destination is a serene forest spot next to Blueberry lake. At either destination, we stop and enjoy the scenery as we eat lunch and then make our way back down the mountain.

Full Day Ride

$200/rider
Includes sack lunch, but upgrade to the gourmet lunch for $25/person
Minimum age limit of 12 yrs old - Maximum weight limit of 270lbs

For our full day ride, our 6 mile trek leaves from the lodge and crosses Boulder Creek via bridge. We quickly cross into the Bridger Wilderness and continue to climb up above the valley. We get to follow along waterfall points in the creek and cross small streams as we make the climb up to Ethel Lake. Once there, we get to relax and enjoy the serenity of the backcountry while eating lunch. Then we will ride the 6 miles back down to the lodge.
